this week I have been more so doing work for other classes. I haven't been assign much of anything because of how close to the end we are in the project. I have just been helping when ever my team needs me but I can't help with the coding or the 3d modeling itself so there is not much that I can do. other that I didn't really do much in terms of the game.

This week I made a more textures for the 3d models that Simon has made. I have found all of the music needed for the games sound track. This will help add more to the game. I had trouble with finding any title screen music because many of the sound were boss music or normal level music. The next thing to do now is to wait until further instructions from the team lead. below are the textured 3d models.
This week I textured more UV's and did some audio work with the game. the UV's will help Simon finish the level he's working on. The audio will help add a more to the games completion. The audio was new music for the game. I am trying to find music for the title screen, the Boss, and the tutorial. I found finding the audio was hard to do because there were either music that was too goofy or too extreme. I eventually found a website that was royalty free that had a download that had different kinds of artist that did different kinds of pixel music. The image below is of the UV that I textured. This week I textured more UV's for the game and made a title screen for the game. the UV's will help Simon finish the level he's working on and the title screen will help Evan by lowering his work load. The one problem I faced when working was the photoshop scratch disk was constantly full and prevented me from completing the UV's. Below is the title screen I made for Zenith.

This week I was helping Simon (3D modeler) and Evan (2d artist).I began texturing some UV maps that Simon made for some of his finished products the texturing will help take a load off of Evan and Simon so that they can focus on more important things. The problem that I was faced with texturing was finding good textures that would fit with the alien aspect of the area. So far I was given 3 UV maps to texture and since then I have finished texturing each one. The only one that was textured not by me was the gas canister by Jacob because I was not here for the end of last week. All in all I feel that I have accomplished a useful task in the grand scheme of things. Below are the UV items I textured.
This week I finished making the game overview of the layout of how the game will go. This will help the team by having them have a roadmap of how the game will go and what things need to be done. I Have started doing the textures for the some of the UV objects that Simon (3D Modeler) have mapped out for me. The progress is slow because it take Simon sometime to map the object and to get it some I understand what parts of the object I am looking at. One problem I am having with texturing is figuring out what parts of the map I am texturing. The first thing that I am texturing is a gas canister. All in all I think that this week was filled with progress that will help the main game.
During this week I finished the Ideas of the different areas/levels for Zenith. I ended up with 4 different areas which are The Lab, Abandon Lab, The Armory, and The Control Center. I started writing how the player with explore and proceed through the game. This will help my team by giving them some foundation of where to go with the game. One problem I was faced with was coming up with how to make each area not to long and how to make them still feel like a major area of the game. I over came this by adding some more memorable aspects to each area. One example is when the player enters the lab area and all the scientists panicking and running around in the background and they attack you by throwing random things at you like microscopes, vial, scalpels, etc. Next week I plan to finishes writing the plans for how the player will proceed through the game.
During this week, I finished the detailed tutorial document and stared to make a document for the different area in the game that the player will have to navigate. In this document I will put in make different Ideas of area so that The team lead can have many choices to pick from. Some problems that I'm facing is coming up with area that would make senses in the kind of game we are making. An example would be Labs, an Armory, command center. I am over coming these problems by take inspiration for other games and movies I've played and watched. I think that this it important to the team because it will help us plan out how we will make the differed levels of the game. All in all I think I made some good progress on the game and plan to elaborate on the different enemy's in the game. During this week, I finished making the basic description of how the tutorial will go and started making a more in-depth analysis of what will happen in the tutorial. This will contribute to the finished project by giving the rest of the team an idea of how to make the tutorial area and what to do in specific scenarios. One problem I came upon while making the tutorial was rearranging my whole plan on how to tackle this game. After my team lead told me that he wanted the tutorial to start in a garage instead of an abandoned research lab, it was harder to come up with enemies that would make sense. The problem with the garage idea is that a garage is not huge, so I can’t be a whole Area of the game. I solved this problem By coming up with the solution of making the garage more abandoned and making some enemies that I had in mind before implementing. The most significant accomplishment for this week was starting the detailed analysis of the tutorial because it took me a while to figure out how I would go and tackle the tutorial since plans had changed.
