Game Overview In the game, the player will parkour through three environments, the first one being a cave full of stalactites and bottomless pits, the second will be a tower with broken stairs in swinging platforms, and the last environment will be the mount inside where the player would have to jump on rain clouds and flying birds. The player is running and jumping through the environment, and I might add another gameplay mechanic involving a gun and targets to shoot. I want the angle to be the player escaping earth on their alien ship. The only controls that the player is using are the WASD buttons to move forward-backward and side to side, The space bar Button to jump, and the mouse to aim and shoot. Layout Of The LevelDesign DecisionsThe FPS microgame on unity inspired the decision to add a gun to the parkour. I felt like shooting a target to make a platform fall or stop something from hitting the player would add more to the challenge and fun. I also decided that the game would start underground and progress to The Mountain because I wanted the player to have a sense of progression as they went through the game. I have decided to make the parkour harder as the player progresses through the game by having the player jump at weird angles or predict how a platform is moving. An example of this is on the tower Environment with the player having to jump up in progress add an upward angle making the platforming unusual for players.

When programming in c# has noticed many things. As a quick introduction My overall view on c# is that coding is not easy and it is very complicated. I can see why programming in the game industry is a big thing, it's mainly because of how complex and how it's mainly a lot of formulas and sentences that don't really make sense to a normal person. Wow doing programming I've noticed that many of the coding language have patterns to them such as some words are like categories and some symbols such as periods or the star sign have different meanings compared to the actual words. I've also noticed that it's very easy to mess up and very hard to find the error that you made, it took me about an hour and a half to find my error the only fine that I accidentally lowercase a letter that was supposed to be uppercase. There is many things I can improve on in terms of my programming skills such as understanding what each command that I'm telling the computer to do actually means, and how to clean up my code so it can be better understood. The problems that I found myself coming up against during programming were usually problems with my wording of certain commands and how some of my code I didn't even understand myself after going back to fix it and clean it up. I also ran into problems understanding from the video lectures what certain codes actually mean because the way they explained it was really complex to me. The way I overcame these problems was by constantly checking myself and double-checking my code to see if it is understandable and if I messed up some of the wording and code commands. There are many things that you realized while coding is that how you reuse many of the code you use and other Scripts such as the vector3.up * time.delta-time and etc. All in all, codeine is a really important skill that every game designer should know to properly make a game and understand how a game is made and what goes into one. -Problem with coding -Experience with coding While working in unity engine something that amazed me was how it was similar to 3ds Max in the way of how to texture and make primitive shapes. Because of the previous experience with 3ds Max, some of the tutorials weren't really that difficult and some of the tutorials were like basic stuff that we learned the last year. The things that I found to be the easiest were probably making the primitive shapes and texturing them. This was easy because I had prior knowledge of 3ds Max. Another thing that was easy was how to add components like a rigid body or make the object have some bounciness to it. All in all the tutorials on the unity learn website was very good and really were understandable and didn't really have that many questions. Another thing that was easy for me was moving around in the 3D plane since some of the buttons were the same to move as in 3ds Max. The information I found the hardest to understand was probably the information about scripting. I do not know what the language really meant, but I could understand some of it. Something else that was difficult for me to grasp was how to control certain things like the sunlight and how you had to rotate the Sun icon in order to fix it's so it would be pointed in the right way. All in all my opinion about the unity game engine is that it is really good and Jen to understand the basics of game design and is user-friendly. Comparing it to learning 3ds Max I had a lot easier time learning the unity game engine. here is an example of the primitive in Unity Summary
